A signboard of CLT (cross laminated timber) we crafted, assisted by an Italian engineer has been exhibited at SICS (Saijo Industry & information Centre for Supprt) for a promotion.
The lamella of CLT is Sugi, a domestic species. Sugi is one of the typical timber product for both solid and glulam posts and beams in Japan. CLT products produced by domestic manufacturers will be a new material as both structual and non-structural building parts in Japan’s building market as well as its in Western countries.
